Growing in the Sun
This print was done with a copper plate for my printmaking class at Franklin Pierce University. First the copper plate was beveled then degreased; A washing method with soy sauce, bonami, and warm water scrubbed on with wool. A ground is then applied and baked on before etching in lines. The plates are then etched in with a metal tool; the first lines being the darkest and later etched lines being lighter. The tonal portion is done afterwards with aquatint.
